We loved this bike ride! The best part was actually riding the bikes and not the history. But it was fun to learn that where the Arc was they were supposed to build the Eiffel Tower but refused to have it built! We didn’t like having to wait in the hot sun down by the beach, but everything else was great. Audrey rates this a 3 star (I just didn’t like biking in the city) and Chelsea as a 4.5 (loved biking), so overall give it 4 stars!
Our parents made us put this in:
In 3 hours we toured: Placa Sant Jaume / Placa Real / Port Vell / Rambla Raval / Macba / Casa Battlò / La Pedrera / Sagrada Familia / Arc De Triomf / Parc De La Citadella / Passeig Del Born/ Basilica de Santa Maria Del Mar
We loved this bike tour, getting the girls active in the heat and mentally stimulated is a challenge but this tour met the mark! We would have appreciated a little more historical facts (this may have been too much for the girls), a bottle of water (nothing comes free here) and a map of where we rode.
The city is well designed and planned for heavy bike and pedestrian traffic. The roads have clearly defined bike lanes and intersection lights have bike traffic signals too.
Kieren from Green Bike tours was a great tour guide, from Ireland and loves it here. After the tour he gave out the scoop on where the locals go; restaurants and beaches.
